#10-The Magnetic Hill Of Leh, Ladakh

Roopkund, also known as Mystery Lake is a high-altitude glacial lake in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Every year with the ice melting in Roopkund, hundreds of human skeletons are seen floating. The skeletons were rediscovered by a forest ranger in 1942. According to the researchers, it is believed that the corpses are around 1200 years old.
It is still a mystery as to who were these people in such an inhospitable region. As the story goes, it is said that the skeletons are of King Jasdhawal of Kanauj, his pregnant wife and their soldiers who were heading to Nanda Devi Shrine on a pilgrimage. Although before reaching the destination they were caught in a hailstorm and couldn’t find any place to hide and thus ended up perishing near the lake. Jatinga, a small village in the north-eastern state of Assam, India which is well-known for a mysterious phenomenon that happens every year during the end of the monsoon months. Right after the sunset, numerous birds of various species commit suicide here.
Initially, the tribal people held evil spirits in the sky responsible for this bizarre event. As per the researchers, the cause behind this is the dense monsoon fog so when the dazed birds fly towards the village lights, they are hit by the bamboo poles and are killed or severely injured. #2-Lonar Crater Lake, Maharashtra – A hyper-Velocity Impact Crater

Lonar Lake also called Lonarcrateris situated in the Buldhana district of Maharashtra, India. It is believed to be the consequence of a meteorite impact that occurred between 35000-50000 years ago.
Lake water is both saline and alkaline. It is one of the very few hyper-velocity craters on the planet.
The source of the perennial springs feeding the lake and what lies at its dark bottom is still a mystery. Also, several rare microorganisms on the planet are found in the lake due to their unique chemical composition.
